PROP 65
Q: WHAT IS PROP 65
A: Prop 65 is an initiative, first approved by voters in 1986, which requires businesses to notify Californians about significant amounts of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Prop 65 also requires the state of California to publish a list of said chemicals. That list can be found here.
Q: WHY DOES MY HYPERKIN PRODUCT'S PACKAGING HAVE A PROP 65 WARNING LABEL ON IT
A: To comply with California's Prop 65 and to let our customers know we are dedicated to transparency regarding safety and health requirements, we have affixed a warning label on all applicable products. The warning label means the product may contain one or more of the listed chemicals. We do not believe our products are harmful, and the warning label does not mean that our products will necessarily cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm. We are providing this warning in compliance with California law.
Q: WHY IS THERE A WARNING LABEL IF I PURCHASED THIS HYPERKIN ITEM OUTSIDE OF CALIFORNIA?
A: Our products are sold nationwide. It would be extremely difficult and costly to determine which products will be ultimately sold or brought into California. Therefore, to ensure compliance with Proposition 65 requirements, we have decided to include these warnings on all of our products, regardless of origin.
